The Pharynx CT scan<\/strong> evaluates the oropharynx, nasopharynx and hypopharynx, and is useful in the study of tumours, inflammation, obstructions and associated cervical adenopathies.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is a Pharynx CT scan and what is it for?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Pharynx CT scan is a computed tomography examination focused on the upper airways and adjacent structures. It plays an important role in oncological staging and in the assessment of deep infectious complications.<\/span><\/p>\n

How much does a Pharynx CT scan cost?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The price of a Pharynx CT scan when performed on a <\/span>private basis<\/b> is <\/span>\u20ac120.<\/b><\/p>\n

        It is generally performed with intravenous contrast to differentiate tissues, assess tumour extension and detect abscesses. The injection may cause a transient sensation of warmth or a metallic taste. Fasting for 4 hours is usually required (you will be informed at the time of booking).<\/span><\/p>\n

          You will receive the CT scan results within up to 7 days after the exam, by email or in paper form at the clinic. On the day of the exam, you will take the CD with the images with you. <\/span><\/p>\n
