The Extremities CT scan<\/strong> (upper and lower limbs) provides a detailed assessment of bones and joints and is crucial in trauma, surgical planning and in the study of osteoarticular diseases.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is an Extremities CT scan and what is it for?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Extremities CT scan is a computed tomography examination targeted to the shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, hand, hip, thigh, knee, leg, ankle and foot, depending on the clinical indication. It is often useful for characterising fractures and for post-operative assessments.<\/span><\/p>\n

How much does an Extremities CT scan cost?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The price of an Extremities CT scan when performed on a <\/span>private basis<\/b> is <\/span>\u20ac100.<\/b><\/p>\n

However, you can have an Extremities CT scan through several <\/span>agreements<\/b>, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Osteoarthritis and inflammatory erosions;<\/span><\/li>\n

    • Post-operative changes and assessment of implants;<\/span><\/li>\n

      The Extremities CT scan is generally requested by the doctor in situations such as:<\/span><\/p>\n

        Extremities CT scan with contrast<\/span><\/h2>\n

        The Extremities CT scan is usually performed without contrast. Intravenous contrast may be used in selected cases (tumours, infection, inflammation). The injection may cause a transient sensation of warmth or a metallic taste. Fasting for 4 hours is usually required (you will be informed at the time of booking).<\/span><\/p>\n

        When and how do you receive the results?<\/h2>\n

        You will receive the CT scan results within up to 7 days after the exam, by email or in paper form at the clinic. On the day of the exam, you will take the CD with the images with you. <\/span><\/p>\n
