It is an essential technique for the diagnosis of otological diseases (affecting the ear), congenital malformations and infectious complications, providing high-resolution images with very thin slices.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is Ear CT and what is it for?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ear CT is a computed tomography scan focused on the analysis of the ear canal, middle ear (eardrum, ossicles) and inner ear (labyrinth and cochlea). High-resolution images are acquired, usually in very thin slices, allowing three-dimensional reconstructions of the anatomy of the ear and mastoid.
