It is particularly useful in the diagnosis of fractures, joint diseases and tumour-related changes, and is a fast, safe and accurate test.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is a Hand CT and what is it for?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hand CT is a computed tomography scan focused on the anatomical study of the hands. For Hand CT, the protocol price is <\/span><b>\u20ac80<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How is it performed?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hand CT is performed with the patient lying on a table that slides into a short tunnel (the CT scanner), which is open at both ends. The hand is positioned on the table of the equipment. Images are acquired from different angles, allowing three-dimensional reconstructions of the structures. In specific situations, such as the study of tumours or infections, iodinated contrast may be administered intravenously.
