It is mainly indicated for the assessment of complex fractures, joint diseases and post-traumatic injuries, offering a more complete view than conventional X-ray.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is an Elbow CT and what is it for?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elbow CT is a computed tomography scan focused on the elbow joint, allowing analysis of bones, cartilage, ligaments and tendons. Images are acquired in different planes, allowing three-dimensional reconstructions of the joint. In some specific cases, such as the study of tumours or infections, iodinated contrast may be administered intravenously.
