What is it?
Echo Doppler is an echographic method that allows simultaneous assessment of vessels and determination of their flow using the Doppler effect.
This test has wide applications in the arterial and venous circulatory system, both in the abdomen and in the vessels of the neck and upper and lower limbs, with particular relevance in studies of carotid flow, arterial flow in the lower limbs and abdominal vessels, and in the study of venous insufficiency in the lower limbs.
How is it done?
They are asked to remove their clothes to expose the part of the body to be examined, and to lie down on the couch.
A gel is applied directly to the area to be examined or directly to the probe to facilitate the procedure.
