What is it?
The Electrocardiogram (ECG) consists of recording the electrical activity of the heart, obtained through small metal electrodes placed on the wrists, ankles and chest.
In this test, no electric current passes through the body and no radiation is emitted.
How is it done?
This electrical activity of the heart is recorded while the patient is at rest, breathing normally, and there is no need for any unnecessary movement or effort.
It is a very quick, painless test and requires no special preparation.
Preparation for Electrocardiogram
No special preparation required.
Where to do it?
Electrocardiograms can be done at NRD (Avenida Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro, nº 11-B, r/c, 1070 – 060 Lisboa – Junto à Praça de Espanha), or at the X-Clinic (Av. Eng. Duarte Pacheco, nº26 – Middle floor, 1070-110 Lisboa).
